We are double board certified in pediatrics and integrative medicine. In addition to 30 years of combined pediatric experience, we have acquired extensive education and training in nutrition, culinary medicine, genomics, integrative and functional medicine, yoga, laughter yoga, mindfulness based stress reduction, and meditation. This has provided us with a thorough understanding of the modalities that we incorporate into our treatment plans and recommendations. Our experiences raising our own children and our passion for health and wellness prompted this collaborative consultative practice.

Heather Peterson, MD

Since completing her residency in 2003, Dr. Peterson has practiced in an Air Force clinic, a community federally funded health clinic, and 2 suburban private practices. She helped launch an autism screening program and serves on a board to help reduce drug and alcohol use in teens. Her passion for nutrition has driven her to complete multiple post-master's classes in nutrition and certificate programs in Culinary Medicine and Plant-Based Nutrition. When she's not cooking, she enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, yoga, and running. Last year, she discovered a new passion in triathlon and completed her first Ironman 70.3 in October. She is a certified laughter yoga leader and loves to share this and her nutrition knowledge by volunteering in schools. She also loves to travel, attend theater, read, and garden and spend time with her husband and 3 children.

Dannette Kallay, MD

Dannette’s love of yoga began as a toddler perfecting her lotus pose with her mother. After her pediatric residency and several years in private practice, she spent many years studying with expert gurus and pursued certification in yoga instruction, kids yoga, and prenatal yoga. She opened a yoga studio and practiced her version of healthcare from the mat. She then had an epiphany that yoga and meditation could merge with traditional medicine and designed an integrative pediatric medical model for which she is passionate. She has a keen interest in energy medicine and the science of the biofield. She regularly escapes for a weekend yoga and meditation retreat. Her interests also include reading, gardening, playing the flute and spending leisure time with her pediatrician husband, four children, 2 stepchildren, and multitude of friends and family.
